Snake Bite Whisky are an Australian Heavy Rock from Brisbane in Queensland formed in December 2014 that play a unique blend of eighties inspired sleaze rock with elements of Heavy Metal, Punk and outlaw country. In 2015 they released a digital single and performed around Queensland, rapidly building a following. In December 2015 they released the garage e.p. "Two Steps To Oblivion" which was named in The Rockpit's top ten Australian releases for 2015. 2016 brought the Snakes to Hollywood where they performed at Cruefest 2016 and recorded their second e.p. "Dirty" which was released in October 2016. The songs "Shoot You Down" and "Comes Around" enjoyed extensive radio play globally. 2017 saw the Snakes sign to Pavement Entertainment (U.S.A). The debut album "This Side Of Hell" was released on the 25th of January 2019. Recorded in Australia and mixed and mastered by Peter Rutcho (Parkway Drive, Deez Nuts,Falling In Reverse) in the United States. The album received unanimously excellent reviews with some critics labelling it a "Hard Rock masterpiece". Ten tracks of unrelenting, uncompromising heavy rock that cares nothing for trends or political correctness that showcases exactly Snake Bite Whisky's statement of intent.In 2020 they signed a new record deal with Sliptrick Records(Europe).On the 30th of March 2021 they will release their highly anticipated second album, "BLACK CANDY". Recorded at Lush Studios and engineered and mixed by Bernie Wedrat. A thunderous follow up to their critically acclaimed debut album that raises the ante and surpasses "This Side Of Hell" on all fronts.
The band have grown rapidly to become Australia's number one Sleaze Rock band and also one of the fastest rising acts in the new Australian Rock scene. They have performed in the United States, Mexico, New Zealand, Belgium, U.K(twice) and across Australia building a reputation for being one of the most intense live bands on the circuit. 2021/22 will see the band touring(dependant on travel restrictions) Australia, New Zealand, Europe and South America
